Nice place to stay in Paris We stayed at this hotel just about a week ago - very good location, close to everything. At the beginning we were taken aback by a nasty surprise - although we had our hotel voucher and paid for our stay in advance - there was no place reserved for us by some mistake.... a few stressful minutes, calling back to Canada ( thanks Got for the time difference our travel agent was at work) and we got a room. The room was nice, bathroom and washroom - outdated and and not very convenient. The best part was our breackfest time - there was one very nice lady ( don't know her name, she was in her 50s) who always smiled and greeted us nicely, like we were part of her family! She even remembered that my husband likes mustard and brought it for him every morning. Although I went to Paris for my 50st B-Day and guy at the check-in saw my passport - no bottle of champagne for me or welcome message =(, so i guess that lady who celebrated her 40 there was luckier :D. Anyways, nice place after all. Would come back. And yes, I LOVE PARIS!!!! 3.0

"really nice hotel" just returned for a four days stay at this hotel. everything has been good. from bedroom(looks like on the photos provided by the website) to the breakfast. staff was friendly and helped in everything they could. pros: just a really short walk from moulin rouge(100 metres) and from a metro stop(blanche). a 15-20 minutes walk from the opera.wich is nothing, beacause taht way, we have the chance of knowing streets and people of paris. all hotel staff, spoke or understood spanish, which is great thing for me and my wife because our english or french it isn´t as good as we wished cons: although breakfast was good, maybe it was a little too expensive for a three stars hotel(16 euros per person and day). pillows were small and not very comfortable. but these are two minor things because we´ve enjoyed hotel and above all PARIS

"Excellent stay" I treated my wife to a surprise 40th birthday trip, we booked via a travel agent and we weren't disappointed with this hotel. On arrival there was a welcome message to my wife, wishing her a happy birthday. We were allocated a room on the third floor, there was a bottle of champagne provided for us. The rooms were exceptionally clean and tidy, rooms made up every day. Buffet breakfast very good, plenty of choice. Staff very helpful and polite. Location just down the road from Blanche metro station and Moulin Rouge Have no complaints and would not hesitate to recommend.

"Excellent Hotel, Good Location" My fiancé and I stayed at the Tryp Blanche Fontaine for one night in April 2005. We had booked into its sister hotel, Tryp Francois, but when we arrived we were told that there was a problem with our room and so were asked to stay at the Fontaine for our first night. The hotel is set back from the road so there’s no traffic noise and is literally a stones throw from the Moulin Rouge, which can be seen from the bottom of the hotel drive. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were a decent size and immaculately clean and the breakfast selection was very good also. The location is excellent for exploring the Montmartre area, the Sacre Coeur was within easy walking distance from the hotel and, although we didn’t actually use it, if you don’t fancy walking there is a Metro station (Blanche) at the end of the road. Once it got dark we went back to the Sacre Coeur to see it illuminated (very beautiful) and walked back along the Boulevard De Clichy, which is the Red Light district, and didn’t encounter any problems even though it was quite late. Both these Tryp hotels were very good but I think that the Blanche Fontaine just had the edge on the Francois, the Francois was generally better located but the Fontaine was a lot more relaxed and little better laid out. If I return to Paris I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook into any Tryp Hotel, so far we’ve stayed in three (two in Paris, one in Barcelona) and they’ve all been very good.
