Tulip Inn Budapest Millennium is a very nice and welcoming hotel. I would not hesitate to stay there again. The metro being only a short distance away makes getting to the city centre very easy.

When I found out that my partner had booked us 4 nights B&B at this hotel for a TOTAL of £100 I had serious concerns about what to expect - what a nice suprise! Hotel is immaculate - clean, smart reception - VERY friendly and helpful staff. Public areas could not be faulted. Room on 1st floor was on the front corner of the building - not a great view of a flyover, but excellent soundproofing meant that we the passing traffic didn't even register. Room was HUGE - high ceilings, desk, coffe table & chairs. Fresh decor. Bathroom was better than some I've seen in 4* hotels. Shower was like a waterfall, lots of hot water. I really could not fault anything about the room. Location - took about 30 mins to walk into the city centre. Metro station about 2 mins from the hotel - we preferred to go to Nepliget. Beware of taxis!!! Ask the hotel how much it should cost from centre to hotel and ask what you should do to avoid rogue taxi drivers with meters than run faster than the wheels on the car! We paid up to 4100huf (for the 5 minute journey) and were well and truly conned. Learn from our mistake! Breakfast at the hotel was limited, but very tasty scrambled eggs. Highly recommend!
