"Unbelievable place"
We booked only one night at Una Hotel Palace due to a late flight arrival and wished we had stayed longer before moving to our final destination.
Ever since we stepped in we liked the cool and relaxed atmosphere in the heart of frenetic Catania: welcomed by the air con and efficient staff, we were upgraded even though for only one night.
The room was spacious, clean and quiet, a huge and comfortable bed, a cool and functional bathroom with a very appreciated large shower.
Unfortunately we could not try the roof restaurant and forget our dinner in front of the Etna (first reason why we had chosen the Una Palace) as it was booked for a private party, but enjoyed all the same a great dinner in the restaurant at the first floor.
The food was simply great and so was the service.
Amazing the interior design throughout the hotel mixing the local tradition of Caltagirone´s ceramics with modern baroque furnishings.
And the best thing is that we were right in the middle of the main street in Catania, via Etnea, extremely convenient for after dinner strolls as well as shopping tours.
We will definetely choose again the Una Palace whenever we go back to Catania.

"Hard to beat"
After two nights in a poor hotel booked by the company, I moved for my last night to the Una Hotel Palace, at the great rate of 100 euros for the night. It was as excellent as other reviewers mentioned. Liked everything basically: room was very comfortable and quiet and I found staff very helpful. I agree with an earlier reviewer that the restaurant food does not match the rest of the hotel (had the least inspired lamb chops I've eaten for a long while) so go out if you can. That apart, I'd recommend this place to anyone who likes that cool modern feel set in an older building. Very nice place indeed.

"Great Hotel, great area"
Just back from Catania and stayed in this Hotel for 3 nights. Great rooms, helpful staff and although the Hotel is on the main shopping street, once you stepped inside the doors the place is an oasis of calm.
Would definitely recommend it and one small tip is to book on the Hotel's own website - we got a great deal.

"sparkling and new, young fabulous hotel!"
I loved the Una Hotel Palace. It was the last of 5 hotels I stayed at on a trip in which I drove around Sicily. It was the only hotel that was great at posting excellent signs every logical place so that I could find the hotel on those windy one-way roads. This made a huge difference for us driving in. Everyone spoke english, which was rare in sicily and the crisp cream and black ornate decorations were fantastic. Everything was new and clean and refreshing compared with other places we stayed and check in and check out were perfectly uneventful. We had to check out at 4:00am for our flight, but they packed us these great breakfast bags to go which was an extra plus! Great location as well! Right on Etnea Street!
