The Union has been a family-run hotel since 1897, and is now managed by the 3rd and 4th generation of the Mjelva family. In the course of these years, the Union Hotel has been visited by royalty and other guests from all parts of the world. The hotel lies in the heart of Geiranger's beautiful countryside.

Great Value, Good Location
We stayed here at the end of February. For the price we paid, the standard was very high. Sure it's not right in the centre of Prague but we knew that when we booked it. The trams right outside will have you in the centre within minutes. The rooms were comfortable and well stocked. On the day we were leaving they were just starting a refurbishment of the floor we were on so I would reckon there's all new furniture in there now. The room I was in was at the back so the noise issue didn't affect me. The other room our group had booked overlooked the tram stop and the people in that room weren't affected by it at all. But yes, the Czech beer probably assisted in that regard! The staff were friendly and polite and did everything they could to help us. I really wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone

Cheap and great value for money
We stayed there in November 2004 after looking on trip advisor. The hotel is a 15 minute tram journey from Charles Bridge but yards from the tram. The tram service is cheap- £5 for a 3 day pass so this should not put you off. Rooms were clean and more 3 star than 2 star. Breakfast was good but health warning on Coffee, it will pout hairs on your chest. Would recommend to anyone. Great value for money.

Good value at Hotel Union
Stayed four nights at the Hotel Union, brilliant hotel for the price with friendly and helpful staff. Location outside city centre should not put anyone off as there are very good transport links by using the trams which stop outside the hotel. Slight noise from trams if you have a room at the fromt but not obtrusive and we certainly slept well in comfortable beds. Rooms and bathrooms warm clean and fresh and we would certainly recommend this hotel for a stay in Prague.
