The main building was originally built as a private residence for a German baron von Stackleberg. The interior of the hotel is stylish with warm colours and interesting lighting, offering something fresh to a traditional choice. A great place
This is a great place to stay.Super friendly staff and a huge breakfast were pluses.The hotel is only about a 150 meters from the old town so you can't get a better location.We paid a little extra and upgraded to a "zen" room which had a spa.All rooms have a computer with internet which is a bonus.We rated this hotel highly. |

"Great hotel and fantastic location!"
We stayed at the Uniquestay Tallinn on June 30 after a long 8 hour busride from St. Petersburg, Russia. We arrived at 6am and they let us check in early at no additional cost! We cannot express how thankful we were to have a nice, comfy bed to sleep in for a few hours and have a shower before we ventured out into the old city. The rooms were spacious, with skylights, internet access and a big bathroom with "zen" lights and a skylight. Ours was room 76 in the building across the patio from the main hotel. I highly recommend this room! The old city was a short walk up the hill adjacent to a big, beautiful park. It took about 10 min. to get to the old town square with tons of restaurants and shopping. The Estonian people were truly kind and we loved our time there so much! Wished we would have spent more than one day. This was such a relief after coming from St. Petersburg where the people were rude and one did not feel safe. Tallinn has a very European feel however without the insanity of the larger cities like London and Paris. I also highly recommend the restaurant "Olde Hansa". It's booked up many months in advance but we were able to reserve a spot for 2 for dinner the morning of. I loved Tallin and the Uniquestay! Don't waste your money on the very expensive hotels when you could have a lovely stay here!

"Fantastic hotel"
I have just returned from a four night stay at the Uniquestay hotel and cannot praise it enough. It was spotlessly clean, quiet and relaxing, and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was wonderful in a very pleasant restaurant. The location was excellent too, just a pleasant ten minute walk to the old town of Tallinn, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Perfect stay!"
We book a triple room on december for four nights.
The Hotel is near the Parliament and Nevsky Cathedral, just 5 minutes away from the old town center. The atmosphere is awesome, well decorated and very modern.
People at the reception was very polite and helpful (beautiful ladies at reception!!!) and the service was great, specially breakfast. Our room was excellent. We paid for a tree star hotel, but I think you get more than that . The room was provided with a computer with internet access (totally free) a spacious bathroom, a boiler and a selection of coffee and the. Well decorated room and everything was functional. We enjoy our stay and we are going to highly recommend this hotel!!!.

"decent spot - excellent value"
Stopped at Uniquestay as a group of fifteen English lads, and were housed in the annex, just a 30 second walk from the main block. This block is however entirely self sufficient, so any initial concerns about being isolated were completely unfounded. Only reasons to visit the main block possibly; for an early evening tipple in the very chilled out bar, excellent value, highly recommended [and professional] massage service in the basement, or oddly if you really need your early morning bread toasting. I hope the establishment invests the 20 pound or so needed to equalise the equipment across the two breakfast rooms, I do like a bit of jam on toast after my bacon, sausage, beans and broccoli ! [must be an Estonian thing]
The local staff not overly friendly, but that is not peculiar to the hotel. Interestingly, the Estonians we got close to reassured us that Estonians are not even so welcoming with fellow Estonians, so try not to feel too offended. Could well be a hangover from soviet occupation times past ?!
Very pleasant and clean hotel, staff efficient at sorting out any issues, arranging taxis etc. Very good value for the money paid. Location a nice stroll into town, which is all rather hilly anyway so if you're generally fit no worries about being based at the bottom of a steady climb. Didn’t detect any unpleasant odours in the building, so can’t acknowledge previous reviewers remark. Highly recommended hotel, and a fabulous city regardless of your group composition / intentions.
