Great Hotel
I stayed in this hotel twice and both times was very happy. Decorated with a style, stuff is very friendly an helpful, breakfast was great! The rooms have double doors, so it's really quiet, you don't even remember you are close to the train station |

Victoria Lausanne Hotel is a superb hotel. Near the station, but when you get inside it is stunning. Modern prints hang from the walls, rugs cover tiled floors, marble staircases and an atrium the full height of the hotel. Staff are great and can't do enough for you. Room are well appointed and even though there is no restaurant (the bar does serve light meals and there is room service), the bistros, bars and restaurants nearby do not make this a problem. This is a 4 star hotel, like the Agora, but they are worlds apart. If on business or holiday, you'll not go wrong staying here.

Victoria Lausanne Hotel is literally at the train station. Perfect for someone who needs that. And the hotel is very nice -- nice size rooms, beautiful layout, lobby, good linnens, toiletries, staff is nice, breakfast is good. Excellent quality.
If you are staying in Lausanne for a holiday, stay near the lake. Although more expensive, it will be worth it. And there is a funicular at the lake that will take you into the train station. But, if here on business or otherwise need a hotel close to the train station, this is a great hotel. I would stay again if that was my criteria.

"Nice hotel, great location"
When I travel in Europe I try to stay near the train station and this is about as good as it gets. We had an "old world" triple, meaning that it was probably once a 2 room apartment and not a large monolithic, plain room. Very comfortable, air-conditioned (a must), quiet. Just up a small side street across from the main station. Better than average breakfast, nice folks, old world charm with lots of nice art.
