"Excellent hotel in Estoril"
My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks in August and find it very good. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The bedroom was clean and spacious and there was a daily maid service. There was a full hot and cold buffet breakfast that was excellent, however the evening meal choice was poor so we did not eat there at all in the evenings. There is an excellent italian restaurant nearby called AL Fresco (directly across the road from the main entrance of the casino) and there is a great value chineses restaurant called Hua Guang on Av Bombeiros. The casino is well worth a visit and does a dinner and spectacular show which won't break the bank. There is also constant musical entertainment in the casino at night and you can sit and order as little as a beer and enjoy the entertainment all night if you want to, noone will pressure you to leave or buy more. The train and bus station is directly across the raod from the hotel (as is the beach) and there is a pleasant promenade walk to the next town (20-25 minutes) called Cascais, where there are some excellent restaurants and one we enjoyed was called O Batel on Travessa das Flores. The train runs from Cascais to Lisbon every 20-30 minutes and if youre not in the form for walking to Cascais, the train from Estoril costs €1 and takes about 3 minutes. From estoril to Lisbon takes about 30 minutes on the train and costs about €1.50
Estoril is a great location for a holiday base.

"Fantastic hotel in the best location"
I went to Estoril with my husband to have a romantic break away from 'Over exposed areas'. This hotel is in the very best location, close to public transport (inc airport bus link), restaurants, tourist office, shops and most importantly a stone throw away from the beach! The breakfast provided was lovely. The food was always fresh and hot. The hotel staff were very helpful, polite and willing to help with anything.
I highly recommend this hotel as it is in a prime location and close to all amenities.

"Lovely holiday"
Lovely hotel and staff, helpful and polite. Nice sized rooms, also kept very clean. Stayed on b&b basis. Good breakfasts but restaurant was pretty crowded in the morning. Nice size pool for dipping in, not really for swimming though. Casino, bars, beach front and transport all convenient to hotel. Couldn't really fault the place in any way and have recommended it to friends and family who all agree!

"Very nice hotel and excellent value for your money!"
Nice hotel in overal, with very good value for the price. Search for good deals on this hotel on the web – we booked it via Yeego.
Nice rooms – spacios, full of light and comfortable, with nice views (we had sea-view room and high floor).
Well equiped – might by not up to 4 star hotels level like Marriott or Rennaisance, etc, but still you have all amenities you need. Not plush, but just fine and comfortable.
Sea view is fine – you have full length wall-type window which can be opened to let the fresh air and sun stars in through the day/evening and it could be totally closed by massive curtains through the night to reduce the road noise – although noise still will be noticeable.
We used restaurant only for the breakfasts, which were quite good. Suffiecient, with standard hot and cold meals and snacks provided, but not sumptuous. The menu for dinner looked good, but we preffred to have dinners outside of the hotel (there is a very nice small restaurant on parallel street, literally within 100 metres from hotel towards Estoril Casino – ask reception for exact direction and name).
The few down points I have noticed are about lack of internet access in room, which was a real surprise; assumed at least wired is a must, not even speaking about wi-fi.
Another bad point is about service at pool area – the pool could stay uncleaned for a day long, with no attention to cleaning it from any kind of garbage or things had been blown by wind into the pool (even like plastic chairs!). That’s highly contradicts with clean & tidy rooms and other areas. Staff is also very helpful and friedly.
To summarize - would return and stay again at Vila Gale, if have to stay in Estoril.
