"Excellent value"
We stayed at the hotel for three days in late November, and found it excellent value. We booked direct via internet with no problems, very good rates.
While I can see that some rooms may suffer from noise - the ones over the reception - we were towards the end of one of the wings on the ground floor, and it was absolutely quiet.
The room was a good size, bed two singles together (standard it seems in the Algarve), furniture fine, plenty of hanging space, efficient maid service, reception and staff helpful. Breakfast good. No complaints at all (apart from the single beds, although comfortable enough).
The location is good with a short walk into the centre of Tavira. Car parking excellent.
Directions to the hotel were a bit vague, but got there eventually.

"Lovely hotel"
We stayed here on Boxing Day for 6 nights. It was a really nice stay. The hotel was very nice. Clean and spacious. Our room was big and the bathroom was also a decent size and all very clean. It was on the ground floor with a balcony that over looked the street. On the first night, we ate dinner at the hotel which was a buffet with a good selection and we also had breakfast at the hotel every morning which too was a buffet with a great selection, enjoyed both meals! I went to the jacuzzi and gym once, rather basic but still good facilities. The hotel itself tended to have elderly couples and other Portuguese travellers but it was nice for us as even though we are a young couple we enjoyed the peace and quiet - only experienced a little noise but was on New Years Eve so expected. Everyone was friendly including the hotel staff who were helpful too. The town was quiet not much to do, we walked around a bit and found a great Chinese restaurant over the river and a lovely cafe in the main square just before the bridge. Would recommend for a nice quiet break away for two.
