"Best value for money ever." Absolutely fantastic. Small, but perfectly formed, Hotel Adele is perfect for those who can't afford to stay in Venice itself. The bus stop is 1 mn walk away, with buses both to Tronghetto (15 mns ride) and to Marco Polo Airport (1/2 hr to 40 mns). It's also only 15 mns walk from Mestre train station. As well as being ideal for transport, it's in a quiet back street, with hardly any traffic, and only the peal of the nearby church to remind you of the hours passing. The rooms are adequate, not huge, but who wants to stay in their hotel room for long when Venice beckons? The bathrooms have been fully redone last year, with power shower, a must after walking all day. The beds are amazingly comfortable, and I speak as someone with a major back problem. We were there in February and it was very cold. Thankfully, the heating worked beautifully and what a relief that was! The hotel is totally non smoking, but we had a balcony for my smoking companion to indulge. Breakfast was abundant and lovely, with hot croissants, plain or apricot jam stuffed, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, you name it. The staff went out of their way to help, polite, lovely, friendly, I can not praise them enough. Everything was clean, calm, and they made our stay a fabulous one. And as for the price, well: 4 nights, 2 adults, 1 double bed, B&B = £ 156.00. And this was with 3 of those 4 nights during Carnevale!!! Would I go back there? You bet! I just hope my enthusiastic review doesn't give them so much work that they're full next time!
