"Keep coming back here"
We've been here 5 times now over the last three years and are going back again. It's a lovely hotel in a brilliantly quiet area - surprising to read some of these reviews, the "smelly" market is a charming French local street market, great for getting things for the day bread, cheese, wine and fish!
The staff are very friendly and if you make the effort to communicate will do anything for you - flowers/champagne etc. - the rooms admittedly do not have American style interstellar air conditioning but it is perfectly adequate, even in Summer heatwaves.
Only minor complaint has been that I've never yet managed to get room service here! - you're always directed to a high class takeaway/delivery brochure, but - you're in Paris! - what do you want room service for anyway!
We can't wait to go back.

"Great hotel, Great location"
We stayed at Villa alessandra for 4 days and it was just brillient. Rooms were of good size with clean and fresh toilets. The best thing though was its location. It was just 2-3 mins away from metros and 10-15 mins walk to arc de triomphe and champs-Elysees. Would definitely recommend this hotel to tourists.

"Perfect for a FIrst Visit to Paris"
Just returned from 5 wonderful days in Paris. This small hotel, which my friend and I booked through Air France, was absolutely charming...everything we'd hoped for, and more.
We took the Air France shuttle from CDG, and were dropped off right near the Arc de Triomphe, a few short blocks from the hotel.
Used a Paris map and found it very easily. As we walked from the shuttle stop to the hotel (5 minutes or so), we were delighted to find that it is located right around the corner from a local outdoor market. Arriving on Saturday afternoon, we were treated to a slice of Parisian life as locals shopped for vegetables, cheeses, flowers, fish... a little bit of everything.
The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Upon our arrival, Laurent gave us a warm welcome and many tips on transportation, area shopping, etc. The other front desk staff members were equally friendly and helpful, and all spoke English. They responded helpfully to questions, and never batted an eye at our absolutely hopeless French.
The breakfast buffet was great, with something for everyone, juice, cereal, yogurt, fruit, wonderful rolls and biscuits, bacon and eggs, even meats and cheeses. It was served in a charming breakfast room on the ground floor. The dining staff was friendly and efficient, keeping our coffee and teacups full.
Our room was quiet and comfortable, overlooking an enclosed courtyard that was accessible through the window. The bath was clean and well equipped, plenty of hot water and a great shower.
The hotel is very conveniently located, on a small square a few blocks from the Arc de Triomphe. There are two Metro stations within easy walking distance, and they can take you anywhere. There are any number of shops in the immediate area, you can find just about anything you need. The Champs Elysees is in walking distance. We ate most of our evening meals in the area and never felt unsafe walking back to the hotel. Nor did we have any complaints about the street market.
I truly don't understand the negative reviews of this hotel. We found it to be clean, comfortable, charming, convenient and friendly. Couldn't ask for more.
