"Pleasant stay at the Villa Rosa"
I enjoyed my stay at the Villa Rosa very much. Though small, my room was comfortable and quite clean. Fresh linens arrived daily with the maid service. The hotel staff seemed pleasant, and the group I was traveling with was especially fond of the waiter in the hotel restaurant.

"would come back"
We had some really bad experiences with hotels in Rome, but this one was far from bad. I think it was a little too far from the city, but there are trams outside the hotel regulary, or its a 20 mins walk. For the money we paid it was good value. The room was new, clean, abit small, had flat screen tv. However in the mornings you can hear people having their breakfast and screaching their chairs on the wood floor. Staff were good enough, I guess in italian standards. If you ask the staff where you should go to eat, they send you to the same resturant they send everyone too that s around the corner(they probably get comission)its ok but not worth the money you spend. Breakfast was basic. I'll try something different next time

"Great value for money, great staff"
We have just returned from 5 days stay at VILLA Rosa-Rome. Location- Aprox. 250 meters from the Tarstevere station, it's important when a taxi from the airport costs 50 E. (only 5.5 E by train). Aprox. 100 meters from Tram 8 and major bus lines. A bit noisy at night (try to ask for rooms at the back). The hotel is located at the Trastevere area, graet atmosphere at night. Rooms- rather small but clean, smelled good, fresh tools and sheets every day. Hey, you are in Rome, how cares about the room size?. We had a bit of a problem mattress but I really can't compare it to my home mattress. Breakfast- In Israeli standards, it was pretty lame, but we knew it before ordering. It wouldn't kill them to provide Yogurt and some cheese too. Rome offers you breakfasts for 5.5 E each and good ones. Staff- friendly, friendly and again friendly. All most every one of them speak English well (especially the ladies). We fill obligated to mark the two reception desk ladies (we apologize for forgetting their names). Their directions were right to the spot; they recommended on very good and authentic restaurants and actually made our visit at Rome better one!!! To sum up our experience, the hotel is 3 stars rated and we got a full money value for the money we spent. Would I recommend that hotel to my brother? Yes I would, but only because I love my bother. Would I stay there again? SURE.

"Delightfull stay"
I booked into the Villa Rosa hotel before reading the posted message "Villa Nightmare". I have to say I don't understand what some people want for there money! The hotel was clean efficient and the staff were friendly and definately no bad smells! A Good breakfast was provided and parking (although limited was fine). I was staying with three friends who all had clean rooms,not massive but with subtle decoration and fresh bed linen and towels daily and most important powerfull showers. I couldn't find any walls with anti climb paint and the wall outside the hotel where you were most likely to sit was completly clear. The only criticism if any would be that if you get a front room you can here the traffic but even that's not too loud and lets face it your in Rome!I think for a budget hotel you couldn't ask for more.
