"Nice Hotel" We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in room 433, I was very worried after reading the previous reviews & did consider canceling my reservation, however I'm very glad we didn’t. The hotel was lovely & clean, the staff were also very helpful, Housecleaning is everyday with your option to have clean towels etc on a daily basis. The Location:- We could in fact see the sea from our room which is a 5-10 minute walk away, a Shopping mall is also a 5 -10 minute walk away, The hotel is slightly further out from the centre but the Metro & Tram stops are a 5 minute walk. As a couple we found being a bit further out suited us better, if we wanted to go out drinking etc we could as it was just a few stops away but most evenings we were quite happy to stay locally. If you’re in a group then maybe staying somewhere more central would be easier. We of course did lots of sight seeing which meant at the end of the day we wanted to relax, the area is perfect for this. We didn’t use room service or eat in the restaurant but we did use the bar, the drinks were reasonably priced & the staff helpful, this hotel has lots to offer & we would definitely stay here again!

"Great hotel !!!" Reading previous reviews got me worried over this hotel but I really don't see any true in most of these bad reviews. This hotel was excellent, rooms are spacious, clean, modern and including all amenities. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great too and you could have it in the inside restaurant or garden area. I really don't see anything bad in the area as well (except an old building up front but it's not like it's in your room). I loved the area, beautiful buildings, hotels, offices, parks, huge roads, bus stop right in front of the hotel and metro just a few steps away. Mall just within 2 mins walk and the beach is very close too. I would defenately suggest this hotel to everyone and wouldn't take in mind these unfair bad reviews.

"Loved this high quality hotel" I agree with many of the reports here that this hotel is superb!! I honestly could not pick fault with anything here at all. The only thing i would advise is too not get caught up using taxis as the metro is so handy to get anywhere in Barcelona. The nearest metro station is about 2 mins walk down the street and this line takes you straight to the port, very handy, just ask for a map at the station and you can easily work it out, it might look a bit dauting at first but once you give it a go(along with a good street map to keep you right) there should be no problems at all! The staff were very helpful, the rooms were beautiful and were cleaned everyday .In all i would defo recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to Barcelona.

"gotta love the maritimo" Me and my boyfriend stayed here for five nights for his twenty first birthday, and absolutely loved it.very easy access to the metro, which provides transport all accross the city, leading to many of the popular sights including the segrada familia and parc ruel. The hotel staff were very polite and friendly, and the rooms were beautiful, very modern with a fantastic shower and bathroom. We had no problems at all. The park next door was fantastic, all local residents resided there, and it had a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. We loved our stay in Barcelona. And the vinnci made our stay relaxing and very enjoyable. thanks for a brilliant room!!

"couldn't have been better" A group of 5 of us stayed at the Vincci Maritimo in may 2005, and I have to say I really loved it. It was really clean, and very modern, and a real bargain at £60 a night. I couldn't fault it to be honest, the staff spoke excellent english and were extremely helpful, and it was situated almost right beside a metro stop. we have recommended the hotel to 3 couples since, who all equally loved it. it really does look like the internet photos!

"Modern, clean and cheap! A little gem!" Vincci Maritimo was a very modern clean hotel that was cheap compared to Barcelona's usual expensive hotels. Me and my partner stayed here for a long weekend and loved every minute of it. It's easy to find (although we got off at the wrong tube stop and had to walk for miles!) and it's near bus and tube transport links. The hotel itself is modern and minimalistic. The bathroom is beautiful and it was a pleasent suprise to see how beautifully finished it all was. I would highly recommend this hotel for a long weekend. The breakfast was lovely but a tad expensive so I would recommend going to a local cafe and having breakfast there. But overall it was a fantastic holiday and I would go back again.

I couldn't fault it to be honest, the staff spoke excellent english and were extremely helpful, and it was situated almost right beside a metro stop. the only disadvantage is that breakfast wasn't included in our rate, and was quite pricey, but with a large shopping centre full of cafes just around the corner, we didn't go hungry! we have recommended the hotel to 3 couples since, who all equally loved it. it really does look like the internet photos!
