"A great stay!!"
Just wish to share the excellent experience I had during my recent stay in Amsterdam last weekend. We stayed at the lovely Hotel Vondel which is fantastic located in the centre of the city. Appearantly the hotel is newly refurbished and decorated and we loved it. This is one of those great small and personal hotels that you feel immediately at home. We had a beautiful spacious room with an excellent bathroom. The decor of the hotel and room is personal, fresh, tastful and modern. The staff is very friendly and helpful and on top of all, the hotel has a wonderful garden where you can enjoy some rest in the middle of the busy city and relax.
I can only highly recommend this place, should you be going to Amsterdam!

"Birmingham, UK - Hotel Vondel was great!"
What a lovely hotel! The decor was really something different. We had a lovely big room (206) overlooking the garden , very modern & a very modern bathroom. Did not see much of the hotel staff , but when we did they were very helpfull and polite. The location is very good too, 2 mins walk to the leidsplein were there are lots of bars and nice places to eat, only found a couple of smoking cafes in this area, think more are around the Dam square area (thats if you want that of course!) It took about 20 mins to walk to Dam Square , you can take a tram though (1,2 or 5) if you dont want to walk. We were only there for 2 nights , needed more time to see everything ...will definalty be going back!.

"Great Hotel!"
I cannot recommend this hotel enough! Hotel Vondel is situated in Vondelstraat, a quiet road about 5 minutes walk from Leidseplein.
Very conveniently located for bars/clubs/restaurants/shops but quiet enough to ensure you get a good night's sleep.
The staff are very pleasant and friendly and the decor is fantastic.
This was my first stay in Amsterdam but certainly won't be the last, my boyfriend and I would not hesitate to stay at Hotel Vondel again.
