"Lovely Hotel in the Centre of the City" We just spent two nights in the newly restored Warners Historic Hotel. The staff were wonderful, the room was new, fresh and clean. The bathroom was completely brand new - beautiful. This is a small hotel and very friendly. The only down side was noise from the street below - mainly because of the old windows which don't have much soundproofing effect. Other than that it was a real treat!

"Historic stay at the Warners" We stayed at the Warners for the first test of the Lions Rugby Tour. The Hotel is on Cathedral Square which is at the centre of Christchurch and yes the original sash windows do mean that it can be noisy - we stayed on the 2nd floor (Room 213) which was slightly better. The suites are on the first floor directly above the large bar area. The room itself was large and airy with high ceilings. The bathroom was larger than normal too. The staff were very attentive and extremely accommodating - even putting together a huge take-away breakfast for us for a 5.30am start one morning. Breakfasts generally, which came all included for us, were excellent - huge portions and really delicious. Would certainly recommend this hotel for a base in Christchurch.

"Lovely stay at Warners" I was very happy with the Warner Hotel. Very central location, clean room and comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent.
