"Good tourist hotel"
This was distinctly a tourist hotel, it was obviously not authentic Morocco in it's decor and there were no locals staying here.
Staff were disinterested in guests and were misleading about the distance to the medina, saying that it isn't within walking distance (it is, but wear good walking shoes). The hotel is also within (closer) walking distance to one of the Royal Palaces and to the old Jewish Quarter.
There are a number of cafes in the same street as the hotel and in the main road adjacent, the hotel is in a more modern area of the city (a branch of McDonalds being on the main road too).
There was variability in the availability of hot water in the bathrooms but the rooms were fine for a tourist hotel.
