"A old-charming hotel in a very good location"
I know it should be refurbished, because it shows the signs of age, but it must have been a golden age for the Weitzer Hotel in Graz. They gave me a room with something 50 m2 of area and a balcony over the river. The staff was very nice. I would like to see it young again. The location is very central and is by the river Mur.

"Friendly, old-fashioned hotel"
Graz is a lovely town with what seems to be a large number of 4-star hotels; having only stayed one night I can't really say the Weitzer is better or worse than its peers, but can report my wife and I really liked it. The receptionist upgraded us to a huge suite when we mentioned we'd just married, and arranged a good local restaurant and lent us an umbrella for the short walk.
The hotel is located on the riverbank about a 5 minute walk from the pedestrianized center of Graz.
The decor is, to my mind, quite funky though this is probably unintentional: it seems as though it was decorated sometime in the 1970s and never really redone, though everything looks quite shiny, clean and new - sort of a pleasant time-warp effect. The Weitzer gives the impression of being a business hotel but its general friendliness and lack of stuffiness make it quite pleasant for the casual traveller.
The (complimentary) breakfast buffet is one of the best I've ever had - excellent coffee, wide array of healthy and not-so-healthy but really tasty foods on offer.

"Nice hotel in a perfect location"
Have just returned from Graz and a 3 night stay at Hotel Weitzer. We have no complaints about this hotel. The staff were very friendly, especially on reception. Our room was very large and beautifully decorated and furnished. We had a room overlooking a side street rather than the river but that didn't bother us as it was very quiet. There was plenty of choice for breakfast - cereals, fruit, yoghurt, bread and rolls, cakes, ham, cheese, bacon, scrambled egg, sausage, boiled egg, fruit juice and so it goes on. The hotel is perfectly located being a few steps from the river and one of the bridges that takes you straight into the town. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.
