"Brand new!"
This hotel is actually in the grounds of Ayr racecourse and extensive extra courtyard accommodation has just been constructed.
It is, therefore, "brand new", both literally and in the West Coast sense, where it is an expresion meaning "very good"!
The staff are attentive, helpful, cheerful and polite.
They coped very well with a wedding reception in full swing while we were there and managed to give us all the attention we needed.
The rooms, being brand new, are spotless and, of course, everything works perfectly.
As most of the rooms are in the courtyard they are completely unaffected by noise from the main hotel, even if a wedding disco is taking place
I wish I had known how nice the restaurant was and how tempting the menu before I checked in : I would have booked a table immediately. (The staff did offer to book us a table at the time) As it was, by the time I got round to it, the restaurant was booked solid and we had to eat in town.
However, Lindsey the helpful receptionist, who is lovely in every way, but unfortunately apparently engaged already, sourced a couple of recommendations from the chef for restaurants in town and booked us in. She even got us a taxi, too!
If you're going, book a table in the restaurant, if not, go to Elliots in nearby Prestwick: great tip, Lindsey!

"Superb Hotel - you've got to go!"
Everything was perfect, even the glorious sunshine.
The staff are very helpful and attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them. We booked a table in the restaurant and found the presentation, food and service to be excellent. Best Cullen Skink I've ever tasted!
Drinks out on the terrace overlooking the racecourse finished a perfect evening.
Breakfast was delicious, a real Scottish breakfast with all options covered. Great herb sausages. Mmmm, I feel hungry just thinking about it!

"perfect"
as a family of 4-2 adults and 2 young teenagers we were a little anxious of spending a night in one room together--we needn't have worried-room 305 was huge even with a super king size double and two single beds!!!!What a lovely relaxing place to stay --the bathroom was fabulous--room service was quick and tasty--and the staff were all you would expect from a 4star establishment.We were sorry to be staying for only one night.give this place a visit!!!
