"Fantastic location - good vacation choice, particularly for families"
We stayed here for 4 nights on a family vacation - 2 children, aged 3 and 1. Location was perfect, away from the hustle of the downtown area (although easily walkable) and ideally placed for Stanley Park. Also some very good restaurants close by. We had a tower room with view of harbour - I would strongly recommend these. Room was very spacious, beds fantastically comfortabble. Only downside was smallish bathroom (as others have commented). I found all the staff very friendly and helpful, and having a starbucks in the restaurant was also a plus. We didn't try the outdoor pool, but the indoor pool and jacuzzi was great - especially for the children. Would strongly recommend and wrong come back if and when we return to Vancouver.

"Hotel in Paradise"
I last stayed at the Bayshore in 1993 or so, and wow! what a change! Besides the whole area now being built up with condo's, they've thoroughly renovated the Bayshore's lobby, reception, restaurants and conference center. Beautiful wood paneling, wide open and bright spaces, ponds and waterfalls outside, with a large fireplace in the reception inside, the Bayshore is welcoming and friendly. I believe the rooms have also been renovated, but they do show a little age - there's only so much you can upgrade an old hotel without thoroughly gutting it.
I recently stayed there with my wife and children. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we had a great room with a breathtaking view of Stanley Park. The Bayshore has indoor and outdoor pools, and we spent much time in the indoor pool and gym, much to the children's delight.
Overall a wonderful stay - I'd highly recommend it to anyone!

"Great hotel with a pretty view"
We booked the flight and hotel package from Travelocity - which we thought was a great deal. We stayed 4 nights at the hotel and really didn't want to leave the place! From our room - we could see the mountains and a bit of the harbour. The room was nicely decorated and bed was very comfy for a hotel bed. We would definitely stay at this hotel next time when we go back to Vancouver! July's weather was perfect!

Best location in Vancouver!
This is a beautiful, well-maintained and well-run hotel. The "heavenly beds" are indeed heavenly and the views of Coal Harbor, marinas, and sea planes against a background of snow covered mountains are incomparable. |

Great location
The room was nicely appointed, the bed was comfortable but not as "heavenly" as I had expected- a bit too firm for me. The bathroom was the smallest I've seen in a hotel in many years. In fact, our bathroom on our basic ship cabin (Regent Seven Seas's Mariner) was more spacious.
What stood out about this hotel to me was the staff. Any time we had a question or issue the staff promptly responded. For instance, my husband's laptop died when he went to boot it up in the morning and the hotel allowed us to have an extremely late checkout as the outside technician we contacted could not get to our room until well after checkout time, despite the hotel being sold out for that upcoming night. Fortunately the problem was solved (btw, IBM technical support is wonderful - within a few hours the tech had arrived with a new motherboard and installed it on the spot in our room) and we were able to make our cruise embarkation time with the laptop fixed. All in all the Westin is a great beautiful hotel, great location, amazing service and we'd definitely stay there again.

loved this hotel
Stayed at the Westin Bayshore on the last night of our holiday around British Columbia. The staff were superb. Unlike others on your site, we asked for an upgrade on arrival- nothing venutered, nothing gained- and were given a complimentary upgrade, although maybe we were paying more than your other reviewers. Travelling with our children, we found the room to be spacious, clean and, had we known about the view before we got there, we may even have paid for the upgrade as it is just stunning. We didn't want to close the curtains at night, so as not to miss any of the vew. The postion of the Westin is perfect for tourists like ourselves - just missed the breakfast in Granville Island market, but you can't have everything. |

Incredible location
On the water next to Stanley Park. Great location! Beautiful hotel. Great staff. Get a room in the tall building, not the older shorter one. Bigger rooms. Nicer views. |
