"Wonderful Hotel, Great Experience"
We booked our vacation through aavacations.com and it was a wonderful experience. We had a deluxe room on the 3rd floor, which overlooked the central courtyard. The staff at the hotel was extremely friendly and all spoke fluent english. Our package included a buffet breakfast daily, which was fantastic. I was concerned about staying here after reading some of the reviews, but the bed was very comfortable and I did not experience any of the negative things others had mentioned. I would definitely stay here again.

"Great Hotel; Fantastic Location"
We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of our honeymoon. The location is fantastic, right in the middle of everything. We were given a renovated room which was lovely, the bed was quite comfortable and the room overlooked an internal courtyard. The staff was friendly and helpful and they delivered us a complimentary bottle of wine for the honeymoon. We would highly recommend this hotel.

"Loved the Westin"
We stayed at the Westin for 3 nights in July. The hotel is absolutely lovely!!! We stayed in a standard king room and found it spacious by European standards. It was an un-renovated room. We still found it attractive and the bed was great! We did peek into a renovated room and they look great! Everyone from the desk to housekeeping were always friendly and willing to help! The concierge was always helpful and knowledgable, they gave us so many great ideas and suggestions! The breakfast was indescribably amazing!!! Make sure to check out their nightly unwind activities. They had wine tasting and massages! The location was excellent for touring and shopping! We will definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it to anyone! We wish we had more time to spend @ the Westin and in Paris!

"The Westin Paris Hotel - Simply Wondeful!!!"
As soon I entered the doors of this magnificent hotel, I knew that I had ARRIVED in Paris. The staff at the front desk were especially helpful. In addition, the concierge was knowledgeable and courteous as well. Our room was phenomal! It gave us a view of the Tuileries Gardens for which I will be eternally grateful (Room 3015). In addition, the room was spacious and equipped with ALL of the amenities that are afforded North American travelers. In a phrase, "We were blown away!" The room which was VERY spacious also had a couch, flat screen TV, king-size bed, mini balconies with breathtaking views and more. The hotel was located in a perfect spot, right around the corner from the train station, in the middle of the perfect shopping and sightseeing areas (Saint Honore, Rivoli, the Champs Elysees, etc). I will never forget it and neither will you. Do yourself a favour...if you're going to Paris, do it right, stay here! You will have the time of your life! BRAVO WESTIN, you did not disappoint!

"Loved it!"
I booked the Westin with my flight to Paris. We stayed nine nights. Our room was quite comfortable and quiet....a welcome "home" to come to after a long day on foot. It is convenient to the metro as well as just about everything else. Evening strolls around town were fun since you are near everything. The staff could not have been more helpful with our lost luggage. My only complaint was the height of the tub....I felt somewhat afraid I would slip when stepping out of the shower onto the marble floor. The water was hot and there was good pressure....again a welcome respite after a long day. The decorations in the lobby were breathtaking. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

"Great stay April 26-May 1 2007"
My wife & I had an excellent stay at the Westin. We got a very good deal via Priceline (US$200 per night, plus taxes), and they treated us very well. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary, and I sent them an email in advance letting them know we were looking forward to it. They placed us on the 4th Floor (Westin Preferred Guest Floor), and we got an above-average size room. We also got the NS king we requested, with a nice view of the Tuileries Gardens. No mention of Priceline. They sent up a bottle of Chardonnay as well. They did not need to do any of this, so we were very impressed. Service overall was excellent. The lobby is beautiful, fairly busy most of the time. The front desk and concierge offered helpful breakfast & dinner suggestions, and made reservations for us (Au Pieds du Cuchon, Cafe de la Paix, Le Grande Cafe all very good, and walkable, and not overly expensive compared to similar high-quality US restaurants). Angelina's is good for breakfast (about a block away) - beautiful, excellent coffee, pastries, bread & juice. Expensive, but actually a good deal relatively speaking for that part of Paris. We ate there most mornings (fixed price, 15 or 25 euros pp). Location of Westin pretty much unbeatable, as others have said. Bed comfortable. Negatives: hotel rooms and hallways worn and need updating. Wood floors creaky and have soft spots, even a few holes (covered by carpet). Internet access extremely expensive. Minibar the most expensive I've ever seen - $18 for a shot of Smirnoff! Hotel restaurants & bars crazily expensive, even for Paris. A free gym, but unimpressive for a 4* hotel. Spa was closed for repairs. But, most of these can simply be avoided. If we'd paid the regular rate of $500 per night, we would have been unhappy. But at $200, in the heart of Paris, it was great. Weather was terrific too - sunny, 70s and 80s, so that didn't hurt. Would definitely stay here again. Avoid taxis if at all possible - when we stepped into the cab for a short ride in the rain, we were told the 7 euros already on the meter was the 'minimum charge' for a short ride (which cost 10 euro to go less than a mile from our hotel). Other than the airport, that was our only cab ride. Metro is great, walking even better in such a beautiful city.

"Incredible Location"
The location is incredible - less than a 5 minute walk to the Louvre, across the street from the Jardins and a 2 minute walk from the exclusive Ritz Paris. The front desk and concierge staff were extremely helpful. The rooms were well appointed with great views. I would definately stay here again on my next trip to Paris. A nice property for being a Westin.

"Great deal in a fabulous location!"
My husband and I stayed at the Westin Paris November 24-29 as a celebration of our first anniversary. We got the room for the "Priceline" rate of $195 per night, and I was very scared after reading some of the reviews, but it turned out I had nothing to worry about. As another poster commented, I could almost believe I stayed in a different hotel when considering some of the negative reviews.
We arrived at 11:30 a.m. to check in, and were politely told that check in was at 2:00 p.m. but they would be happy to store our luggage for us. I thought this was perfectly reasonable, as the hotel was clearly running full and typical hotel check in is 3:00 p.m. or later, but the American in front of us was so angry he could not check in early, he insisted on calling a manager. I was a bit embarassed and worried we would be treated badly by extension, but they were all smiles and perfect English.
When we returned many hours later, we found our luggage waiting in our room, which was 3069 located on the 3rd floor. We did not have a view, and there was a bit of peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, but the room was otherwise very nice and a decent size. The bed was truly "heavenly" and the shower was great, with water that got hot quickly and stayed hot as long as you wanted it. The Molton Brown toiletries were generously-sized and replenished frequently.
We ordered Room Service twice and both times were pleased with both the quality and quantity of the food. The Pizza Margherita (13E) was particularly good and easily large enough to share. The Spaghetti with Tomato and Olives (17E) was served with fresh grated parmesan, shredded mozzarella, rolls, and chocolates. Both times, the food arrived in less than 20 minutes and the presentation was very nice. One thing to note is that the staff at the hotel never seemed to expect a tip and were seemingly very surprised and grateful with whatever was offered.
Speaking for a moment only on the staff, we encountered not a single rude person; on the contrary, all were very friendly and helpful. Although we did not use his services a single time, the Concierge would smile and say "Good Morning!" or "Good Evening" (in English) whenever we passed going to the elevator. Housekeeping would break off to say "Bonjour" when we passed in the hall. I was sick on a Sunday, and the concierge gave my husband directions to the only pharmacy he knew of that would be open at the time. Upon checkout, there was a mystery charge of 11E from the mini bar, and when I said we had not consumed anything from the bar, it was immediately taken off with no questions asked. We never once felt that we were being given the "Priceline Treatment" and we truly were treated as guests, not as English-speaking inconveniences.
Regarding internet usage, we had originally purchased a wireless access card for 12E (one hour of usage). But when we checked into the room, we discovered that we could connect through the tv (there is a wireless keyboard provided), and the cost was 12E for an entire 24 hours. This was much more convenient than using our laptop wirelessly, and when we checked out they took the 12E for the card off our bill without any problem.
If I had to find something to complain about, it would be their policy of ignoring the Do Not Disturb sign if no one is in the room. Because I don't need the room cleaned or the bed made every day, I prefer to toss my stuff around wherever I want and leave the Do Not Disturb sign on the door so the maids won't come. But at this hotel, if the housekeeping staff sees the sign when they are wanting to clean, they will have the reception desk call the room, and if you don't answer they open the door and come in anyway. This happened several days when we left the sign on, and we figured out what was happening the day I was sick (because we answered the phone). It could be a weird situation if you truly were wanting privacy and didn't pick up the phone when they called...
All in all, I think this hotel is an amazing value for the money (if you book through Priceline or similar). The location has to be one of the most fantastic in all of Paris, convenient to all the "major" sites. Sidenote: if you have booked tours through any of the channels that contract with Cityrama, which depart from 4 Place des Pyramides, this location is UNBEATABLE. It was literally a 3-minute walk to the jump-off point for all our tours!
