"A superb hotel on a nice avenue"
I stayed at the Zafolia in the year 1998 for 13 days.
The first time I entered into my room I was delighted to see that everything was in order and clean. The room was very spacious. I had a room overlooking the avenue. It was superb to go in the balcony and watch the traffic or the lights in the background.
The room was always kept spic and span by the chambermaids.
The restaurant was excellent. I do not have any complaints about the presentation of the food. Be it breakfast or lunch/dinner the waiters were always present to help. The food was very very good.
The hotel is equipped with all facilities that a visitor expects when in a foreign country.
All the staff were helpful and very curteous in their manners. When I asked for an extension of my stay and when I wanted to book a taxi to take me to the airport early in the morning, they served me in a manner of minutes. Excellent service.
I left the hotel at about 5.30 am in the morning. Although the restaurant was not yet opened, but I was served with tea and cakes. I really appreciated this gesture.
I would not hesitate at all to recommend this hotel to whoever is visiting the nice and beautiful Athens.
I would defenetely stay at this hotel again on my next visit to Greece.
Your stay in Athens won't be complete if you do not stay at the ZAFOLIA.

"Great hotel!"
This hotel is so amazing. Besides being a fabulous hotel, the people that work there are very nice. All of them speak English, and can help you with anything. The guy that helped us booked us the second day on a one day cruise to three islands, and it was so much fun! I would deff. recommend this hotel to anyone! And its right down the street from the underground, and the underground can bring you to alot of places...syntagma square is a great place to go for shopping to go to eat or just for leisure walking.

"An oasis in Athens"
My wife and I took a Globus tour of Greece in 2000 and the tour group was booked into the Zafolia at the beginning and end of the tour for a total of three days. It was an extremely pleasant experience. It was an oasis of cool and modern order in a sometimes hot and confusing city. The staff was very helpful and everything was in working order. The blue tinted city water in the bathtub was unusual, but nothing wrong with it. I would recommend a room on the back side of the hotel if possible. The street on the front is quite busy and noisy all hours of the day and night, though they do have double windows. Access to downtown is possible on the bus system outside the hotel. The neighborhood is worth exploring on foot to find the tiny outdoor cinema a couple of blocks across the street. The Acropolis is barely visible in the distance from the rooftop pool. We didn't eat at the hotel but there are local restaurants and even some fast food places withing easy walking distance. Even a grocery store and pastry shop across the street! I would definitely recommend the Zafolia. It's where I would want to stay if I ever go back to Athens.

"Great Hotel"
We stayed at this hotel for two separate nights on our way to and from visiting a Greek island. I couldn't fault the hotel at all and it has the benefit of a lovely roof top swimming pool . We didn't eat at the hotel except for breakfast which was fine.
