"Nice in a rustic kind of way"
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit spartan which is not surprising given the small town location. The hotel is directly on the main square which was a plus for us. The bed was the first king size cot we ever saw but the room itself was comfortable and the bathroom was in good condition.

"Great choice in Cesky Krumlov"
The nice Zlaty Andel is write in the middle of the town. Ask for a quiet room or you risk yourself with the noise of the bars.
The rooms are nice, in a rustic czech style. Nice bathrooms.
The breakfast was ok (the average you find in the country).

"Excellent hotel, ideal location"
We stayed at the Zlaty Andel for 2 nights in June 2006 and the hotel really exceeded our expectations. We had a view of the spectacular castle tower from our window, the hotel is located right in the public square in the center of town, and our room was among the best we had experienced in eastern Europe. We highly recommend it, and would stay there again if we return to Cesky Krumlov.
